Charlotte Pratt is a visual artist and creative practitioner with significant experience in arts facilitation and curation. She produces work under the name G. Burgess and Co.
Her personal creative practice draws on both art and science to explore the concept of objects as reliquaries. Exploring themes of family, personal histories, loss and our place in the natural world. Her practice is heavily influenced by her choice of materials and process. Charlotte employs traditional techniques such as gilding, life casting, oil painting and taxidermy in the creation of her work and often uses found and foraged materials.
With over ten years in arts education, Charlotte has served as a lecturer in art and design before moving into education and outreach within the cultural heritage sector. She is adept at delivering workshops and projects to diverse demographics.
